1. Data Controller

2. Information Processed When You Browse

When you request a page from our static web server, standard technical HTTP log entries (such as anonymised IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and user-agent string) are processed strictly to maintain network security and prevent automated abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest). Server logs are rotated and deleted automatically within 14 days.

3. Client-Side Observation Formatter

The observation formatting tool on our Reach Us page runs entirely inside your local web browser using standard JavaScript. Text entered into those fields is never transmitted to our server unless you choose to copy the generated text and email it to us yourself.

4. Email Correspondence

If you send an email to [email protected], we process your email address, name, and message contents solely to reply to your inquiry or discuss your geological/botanical observation. We do not sell, rent, or share correspondence lists with any third party.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Only a single local storage preference (`site_consent`) is saved in your browser to remember whether you dismissed the cookie notice. For full details, please read our Cookie & Local Storage Policy.

6. Your Rights Under EEA/Norwegian Law

You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal correspondence we hold about you, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
